The JOY list

“What you think about activates a vibration within you.” Abraham Hicks

How was your weekend?

Did you do what you wanted to do?

Did you have time for restoration and rejuvenation?

I have found in my own life, its hard to make time for the things I really need in my life. Things like slowing down, taking time to be still, reading a good book on the couch and just daydreaming. I’m always filling my days with things that need to done like the laundry, dishes, cleaning and organizing of the house. And its exhausting…

Sometimes I lose sight of the bigger picture of my life and my bigger dreams and intentions. I recently took a journaling class and we were asked to create a joy list. This is a list of a minimum of 100 things that you are grateful for. I finished mine in 5 minutes and found myself looking at things that I did during the day and seeing what else could be added.

What I truly learned from this was that I NEED to make time for :

* Sitting on the front porch swing with my dogs and watching the world go by
* Creating art with my son and hugging him while we look at our art wall
* Take time to read on the couch each day

It really made me realize how much I cherish the small things in my life and don’t really take notice of them on a regular basis. I want to challenge you to make your JOY list and do it TODAY. Get it done in about 5 minutes, you can do this!

Watch the Facebook Live for the JOY list here. Watch the video and post when you’ve completed your JOY list. We want to know about it! You will be so glad you did it!

Book I'm currently reading:

Hardwiring Happiness by Rick Hanson, PhD

This book dives into how to find the happiness moments in your life and feel them in your body and begin to live them.

With gratitude,
Amisha
