Defining Success

Success has so many different definitions and looks.

What does success mean to you?

Not what the world dictates as success, but what do you personally find successful?

Sometimes success isn’t what you thought it would be. In my 20’s, I thought it would a big and important job, a large income, a house, no debt, a happy marriage and a bank account that could pay for whatever I wanted. And then..

life happened

Today, a few of things that define success for me:

—a marriage that I cherish
—flexibility to spend time with my son, as he grows day by day
—the ability to pick him up each day from school
—a business that allows me to plan my own hours
—exercising each day
—sleeping well at night knowing I helped clients and supported my family
—the ability to spend summers away from triple digit Phoenix
—spending time with family and friends

It’s a version that is so different than my 20s, I didn’t realize then how crazy in love I would be with son and watching him grow into his own person.

I fully didn’t understand the value of flexibility until I didn’t have it and I missed so many important moments in my family’s life and moments with my friends.

Life is always teaching us what we most need to learn.

How do you define success today?

Please comment on the blog here..would love to hear!

With gratitude,
Amisha
