Your counter is organized and has a specific spot for your keys, so they are easily found.  You have a few moments to snuggle your little ones in the morning and talk about your upcoming day. The juice is still spilled, however, you are able to easily handle it as you are now creating your day, instead of reacting to it.

When you start to focus your energy on the way you want your life to be, it will start to align. A few simple habits each day can be the difference from crazy to calm.

I've discovered there are 3 simple keys to living a more balanced life, even in the midst of chaotic motherhood.

  1. Getting present --staying in the moment you are in. When you are with your family, you are with them. When you are at work, you are a working professional.
  2. Establishing a gratitude practice--when you are grateful for what you do have, there is no space to focus on what you don't.
  3. Focusing time into blocks--cutting out the multitasking, and doing laundry while taking a phone call while cooking dinner
