Are you ready to wake up tomorrow feeling vibrant and refreshed?

Hi! I'm Amisha!

I work with exhausted women who drink too much coffee during the day, have wine to wind down at night, and struggle to sleep well and wake up feeling refreshed each morning.

How did I get into this line of work?

Well...

My entry into motherhood was difficult.

I had a beautiful little boy after a traumatic delivery that ended with an emergency c-section.

It took me weeks and weeks to recover. I had severe post partum depression, cried all the time and wondered why motherhood wasn’t like the movies.

Why wasn’t I the same as my friends who seemed to have it all together?

At the same time, my husband had a career change and entered into graduate school full time.

So, almost overnight, I became the sole income earner for my family and worked full time teaching in higher education while running a private practice.

And it was hard.

I cried on my way to work each day.

I cried when I got home.

I was exhausted from waking up 6-8 times a night with colicky son, managing a full time job, and trying to keep my head above water.

I felt like I was drowning.

There was a time when I was on the same nap schedule as my 1 year old. It was a struggle to get up each morning and make it through the day. I functioned at work, but each day was a struggle.

I often wondered if this is how I would feel for the rest of my life. I asked myself constantly, "Is this how motherhood is?"

I remember one night, getting up to go to my son's room. This was my fourth time getting up that week-night. I was running on fumes at this point.

I had accidentally left the bedroom door half open, instead of fully open. In my hurry to reach my crying son, I ran directly into the corner of the door. Suddenly, my right eye was covered in blood, I gasped and went to the restroom to clean out my eye and saw that it was a cut on eyebrow. Deep enough to wonder if I needed stitches, and painful enough to fully wake me up. By now, my husband had heard the commotion and was up, and my 2.5 year old son and I were sitting in the hallway, both crying. My husband joined us and sat in the hallway as we all calmed down.

In that moment, I decided, "This is NOT how motherhood is going to be for me."

That's when my journey started.

I searched for ways to feel better, took many online classes and read numerous books, until I stumbled upon Well Grounded Life.

I became a certified practitioner and learned the foundational habits that would enable me to begin to live again. Simple things like staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, eating the right meals at the right times and bringing joy back into my life.

It took my changing my priority to make SLEEP a non-negotiable and realizing my own worthiness and following through to change the way I was living.

Slowly but surely, things got easier. I began to slowly feel less overwhelmed, there were less tears each and a bit more joy day by day.

My life today is vastly different then the life I had that night I sat with my family in the hallway. That was my breaking turning point moment-and I'm grateful for it.

Today, I work with women who are struggling with...

  • overwhelm
  • exhaustion
  • lying down at night with racing thoughts
  • not waking up feeling refreshed
  • lack of energy
  • a sense that they are missing something in life
  • having a family and following their spark of passion
  • feelings of not being enough

The women I work with are interested in...

Living life in the present * Taking time to take care of themselves so that they can provide love and care to their families * Managing stress and overwhelm by changing the way they to react * Noticing what brings them joy and following that path * Ready to make a shift
